BraveArt 7 returns to Poole Grammar’s "Street Gallery" with an exciting exhibition for 2014 during the Dorset Art Weeks. We are planning to hang nearly 100 new art works by East Dorset BraveArt Society members and associates. Works framed and unframed, and cards will be on sale at this free art exhibition.
BraveArt 7 runs daily. The Street Gallery is on the Ground Floor of the Ashley Thorne building and is accessed through the school’s reception. There is full disabled access and plenty of free parking.
Our intended BraveArt13 exhibition was cancelled at The Gallery Upstairs in Upton due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but we are please to announce out “virtual” version has now been launched. Please tell your friends and family and let us know what you think: BraveArt13 Online Exhibition.
To encourage our members confidence in their own work, we hold a number of “member” exhibitions throughout the year. These are voluntary to take part, and allow one member to exhibit their own work and receive feedback from other members in the group during a Tuesday evening meeting at Upton Community Centre. We hope establish these as regular events in our diary.
We have been experimenting with locations, venues and “pop-up” exhibitions in and around Dorset to show our work.
June 6th-14th 2020 we will be exhibiting in the laundry at KINGSTON LACY, Wimborne and we have been invited to Kingston Lacey during the Summer months for “en plein-air” painting sessions. We are hoping to continue this association with the National Trust in coming years.
We also support various local events like Upton in Bloom, Poole Grammar School’s Summer Fete and the Poole Carnival by exhibiting work. We are keen to find opportunities to participate and display our artwork in public venues.
In 2019 members entered work in the Upton Community Centre art competition on 17th August.
In September 2019 members joined other local artist groups at Knoll Gardens, Stapehill to paint and draw in the gardens for a day.
