    BraveArt 7

10:00 - 15:30The Street Gallery, Ashley Thorne Building, Poole Grammar, Gravel Hill, Poole

BraveArt 7 returns to Poole Grammar’s "Street Gallery" with an exciting exhibition for 2014 during the Dorset Art Weeks. We are planning to hang nearly 100 new art works by East Dorset BraveArt Society members and associates. Works framed and unframed, and cards will be on sale at this free art exhibition.

BraveArt 7 runs daily. The Street Gallery is on the Ground Floor of the Ashley Thorne building and is accessed through the school’s reception. There is full disabled access and plenty of free parking.

Regularly exhibiting our paintings is a priority for our club. We encourage all members to get involved.

In 2019 we exhibited at Bournemouth Library and the Community Learning and Resource Centre in Wimborne. Our 2020 BraveArt13 exhibition was cancelled at The Gallery Upstairs due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is available as a “virtual” version via the link below. We exhibited at “The Gallery Upstairs” Upton Country Park in November 2021 and again recently in August 2023.  We hope to return to the “Gather” exhibition space in the ground floor of the Dolphin Centre, Poole in 2024.

During exhibitions we offer framed and unframed paintings and cards for sale at affordable prices.

Member Exhibitions

To encourage our members confidence in their own work, we encourage “members exhibitions” during our Monday evening meeting at Upton.  These  allow one member to show a range of their own work and receive feedback from other members in the group.  We hope to establish these as regular events in our diary.

Pop-Up Exhibitions

Members seek out other locations, venues and “pop-up” exhibition opportunities in and around Dorset to show our work.

Community Events

We  also support local events. In 2019, 2022 and 2023 we entered work in the “Upton in Bloom” art competition.

In 2019 and 2022 members joined other local art groups at Knoll Gardens, Stapehill to paint and draw in the gardens for a day.
