During Dorset Art Weeks, East Dorset BraveArt Society is delighted to join forces with Poole Grammar School for the hosting of the free art exhibition BraveArt 5. This coincides with the external launch of the Grammar School’s Street Gallery which is available for community hire in the holiday periods.
There will be 25 artists showing their works, and we are planning a few surprises to make this a very exciting visual treat! Works framed and unframed, and cards will be on sale.
To encourage our members confidence in their own work, we hold a number of “member” exhibitions throughout the year. These are voluntary to take part, and allow one member to exhibit their own work and receive feedback from other members in the group. We hope to see these as regular events in the club diary. These are open to members only.
We have been experimenting with locations, venues and “pop-up” exhibitions throughout 2016 and 2017 in and around Dorset to show our work and we are fortunate enough to have had a regular spot at Pamphill Dairy (http://www.pamphilldairy.co.uk/), 1.5 miles outside Wimborne Town Centre. We are hoping to continue this association throughout the coming years where you will have the opportunity to view or buy our work. Our most recent exhibition there was a huge success and we’d love to meet you if you come along.
Civic Centre Exhibition
During 2016 and 2017 we have done quite a few smaller exhibitions supporting various events like Poole Grammar School’s Summer Fete and the Poole Carnival. As part of this work, we were invited by the Mayor of Poole to stage a more permanent exhibition in the Civic Centre. Following the success of the exhibitions, we are looking to get further support to continue to display our artwork in public venues.
